Hi there,
I'm a junior administrator in my company, I noticed that most of the staff don't shutdown their computers when they leave the office premises despite to the memo posted about Energy Conservation. I wish to make a memo telling them to shutdown their computers after work without getting any bad impressions. Thank you|||the cost of energy is cutting into the profits and can result in curtailing any pay raises and potentially allows access to unauthorized persons to steal company and personal information including personal e-mails
periodic random checks will be made and violators disciplined
that should get their attention|||distribute a copy of the memo anonymously so no one will really know but will get the impression that their boss did it|||ADD PLEASE AND THANK YOU. TURN OFF COMPUTERS, SOUNDS BETTER. ALSO LOG OFF COMPUTERS.|||I would simply put.
In effort to conserve energy and insure privacy, all are required to shutdown workstations before leaving at the end of the work day. To make sure of compliance, all stations will be checked on a regular basis.|||Come'on people. Stop sugarcoating everything. Best way to ask people to shutdown after work is to say:
"Please shut down after work."|||Try lying.
We have been informed that building maintenance will be checking out the electrical system during off hours which can generate voltage spikes that could damage your machine and cause loss of data storage and corrupt files. To reduce your risk, please power down your computer via software option at the end of your work day.
