What do you think of this memo sent out at my work about pets?

Ladies %26amp; Gentlemen,





It has been brought to my attention that in the last week there have been at least three incidents involving associates bringing their pets to work. In all three cases the animals were brought inside the buildings. Out of respect for your co-workers, for health and safety reasons, and for the safety of the pets themselves, pets are NOT ALLOWED at work - both inside and outside the buildings. This is applies at all times and is without exception.





I appreciate everyone's fondness for their pets but work is not an acceptable place for pets.

Unless you work somewhere like a vet's, petstore, or doggy daycare it should assumed that pets are a no no unless granted approval. Even when I did dog walking I still asked if I was allowed to bring my own dog along and was told no. Good thing I asked!|||I would like to say that I work for a small company and one of my co-workers started to bring her pet in without permission she said her pet helped her with staying calm, etc but never asked the other co-workers would that be a problem.

|||Sounds good|||well i think it all depends were u work at... i work at a vets office and we always bring our dogs to work with us....|||it is polite and non offensive|||i think it's reasonable! it's not fair to people who have allergies to dogs! or people who are scared of dogs after having a bad experience! - also probably a distraction from doing work!





+ it's not fair for a dog to be in most peoples 'work' environment, it's not designed for dogs and probably to noisy and busy for them to relax! and it's not fair for people to ignore their dogs to do their work!|||looks good|||Who the heck thought it would be ok to bring their pet to work unless you work for a vet or a petstore? That's just insane. Do they have to tell you how to dress as well? What's wrong with people nowdays. Your employer obviously doesn't want the distraction, liability, etc. Good for them for reacting so professionally.|||sounds ok unless under serious circumstances|||Sounds fine. Nobody should bring their pets to work unless it has gone through the boss and they have agreed to it.
